Overview
SkillsPEI is a Division of the Department of Innovation and Advanced Learning. It was established to manage the delivery of training and skills development programming funded by the Canada-Prince Edward Island LMDA and LMA. SkillsPEI will duplicate and expand upon programs and services previously delivered by Service Canada / Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) in local offices located across Prince Edward Island.
Under the new Canada – PEI Labour Market Development Agreement, the
funding and people responsible for support and delivery of a number of
programs have been transferred to SkillsPEI. Some of these programs have
been renamed to better reflect their delivery in PEI while others have
had their names remain unchanged. The guide below will help you identify
the LMDA programs currently being delivered by SkillsPEI with references
to those programs whose names have changed:
